New York City Group Discovery Program

There’s more to a city than meets the eye. Especially when it’s New York City. Nowhere else on earth is there so much energy. Vibrancy. And diversity. The people, the neighborhoods, the culture, the restaurants—they’re all here just waiting to be discovered. Our group program gives you the flexibility to mix and match, lengthen or shorten a trip as needed. We can travel by motorcoach, car, on foot and the ever-present subway. We offer all levels of hotels and restaurants and all excursions are guided by a professional licensed New York City Tour Guide and enhanced by local specialists at the different sites. Day 1 – New York: the Gateway to America

• Breakfast.
• Meet your local guide at the hotel.
• Ferry to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Lunch on Ellis Island.
• Return to Manhattan. Travel by bus to the Lower East Side for tour of the Tenement Museum and an optional short walking tour or free time to explore on your own.
• Welcome Dinner.

Day 2 – The Magic of Broadway and the World’s Largest Movie Set

• Breakfast.
• Meet your local guide at the hotel.
• Walking tour of the theater district with stops in two theaters and a talk by a Broadway actor.
• Lunch.
• Tour of famous movie and TV filming locations in New York.
• Pre-theater dinner and a Broadway Show.

Day 3 – Architecture and amazing structures of New York

• Breakfast
• Meet your local guide at the hotel.
• Board your bus and visit the skyscrapers, churches and plazas and fountains of all shapes, styles and sizes. Stops will be made along the route.
• Lunch vouchers will be provided for the South Street Seaport Food Court.
• Afternoon visit to the Skyscraper Museum and free time to walk around Lower Manhattan, the land of skyscrapers.
• Dinner.

Day 4 – The Great Outdoors

• Breakfast.
• Meet your local guide at the hotel.
• Travel to Central Park. Lecture, walking program and a carriage ride.
• Free time on Fifth Avenue and lunch.
• Drive uptown to the Cloisters.
• Dinner.

Day 5 – Brooklyn was once the Center of the World

• Breakfast.
• Meet your local guide at the hotel.
• Travel to Brooklyn for a sightseeing tour of the neighborhoods. Stops will be made along the route.
• Lunch
• Afternoon tour of the famous cemeteries of Brooklyn or an afternoon at one of Brooklyn’s many museums.
• Pre-theater dinner and a Broadway Show or a musical concert under the Brooklyn Bridge.

Day 6 – Downtown by Sea and Uptown by Land.

• Breakfast.
• This morning is on your own.
• Lunch on board the Bateaux sailing around lower Manhattan. (Can also be done for dinner)
• Tour the Upper West Side of Manhattan and Harlem. Stops will be made along the route.
• Dinner.

Day 7 – Queens – A trip around the world in on Borough

• Breakfast.
• Meet your local guide at the hotel.
• Travel to Queens and tour (by bus and on foot) the ethnic areas of Queens--the ethnically diverse real estate in the world.
• Lunch.
• Visit an outdoor sculpture garden in Queens or one of the borough’s many art museums.
• Dinner and a Mets Game.

Remember with Beyond Times Square, all of our tours can be mixed and matched, lengthened or shortened to meet your group’s needs. Tours also can be themed (Art, Literature, History, Shopping) if the group has a special interest.
